Education Theory and Management Electrical Engineering Students in the Era of Society 5.0

Abstract

Society 5.0 is a concept stating that technology will co-exist with humans to improve a sustainable quality of life. Not only industrial sector will be affected by the era of society 5.0, but also the world of Education, especially for students who will become human resources after graduating from their Education they go through. In the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, using AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the main component in creating changes in the future. Meanwhile, Society 5.0 uses modern technology, but it relies on humans as the main component. Electrical engineering is a discipline realized for science and technology in terms of design, construction, implementation, and maintenance, both for software and hardware components. The current technology growth is very rapid. It also encourages the development of industrial revolution 4.0 towards society 5.0 that really needs human resources able to design, construct, implement, and maintain software, hardware, and computer networking.  Therefore, by the development of the era of society 5.0, it is expected that students as those who will become human resources, especially Electrical engineering students, will be ready to face the challenges in this era of society 5.0.
