Abstract

MI Miftahul Ulum Karangsari is the madrassas which are quite attractive. This, not out of the business of the school and the condition of the surrounding community that supports the existence of the school. In this case the researchers conducted this study with the aim of knowing the role of the family in improving the learning motivation of students of class I MI Miftahul Ulum Karangsari as well as sensitize the parents of the students to apply the role of the family in improving the learning motivation of students. The research method used is descriptive through a qualitative approach, at the time of the study researchers use the collection of data by the method of observation, interview and documentation. The subject of research is the students of class I MI Miftahul Ulum Karangsariyang amounted to 32 students. Researcher obtained source data from teachers and parents of students. Sampling technique as the data source of the study is to snowball sampling. Researchers use the research procedure using 3 stages, among others, the exploration stage, the member check and the stage of the construct. The results of this study indicate that through the role of the family in the process of student learning can increase the learning motivation of students. Where the increase in student achievement can be seen from the value-the value of learning achieved students in class as well as task that is given by the teacher. The conclusion of this research is the application of the role of the family can increase the learning motivation of students.
