Abstract

Islamic philanthropy is an effort to alleviate poverty. Digitalization has been applied to Islamic philanthropy in the Indonesian Islamic capital market through the Sharia Online Trading System (SOTS). SOTS is only applied in Indonesia, not applied to the Islamic capital market system of other countries. This research uses the online ethnography method, which is a social science method by combining where the data needed are sourced from the internet. The results of this study describe the SOTS mechanism of securities that have SOTS facilities; the development of Islamic philanthropy, namely stock zakat and stock waqf distributed through professional amil zakat and nadzir institutions for the welfare of society
