The Effectiveness of The Technique Assertive to Handle Students Are Victims of Bullying

Abstract

No one wants violence to occur. But the fact is that the catch up continues, and even continues to increase. Ironically, violence is always monopolized by war and does not consume mass, but also affects the world of education. One of the violence in education is bullying behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with an assertive behavioral approach to bullying cases at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Mutawally school. This study uses a quantitative research method using an experimental approach, and also this study uses a True Experimental Design, with a research pattern of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, in this design there are two groups selected randomly, namely the experimental group and the control group. The data collection technique used is a Likert scale with the aim of measuring the subject. The result of this research with independent t test is that t count is smaller than t table (0.827 < 2.080). Based on the results of this test, it can be said that the hypothesis Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that the statement obtained that there is a significant difference between the average in the experimental and control groups. This means that group counseling services with an effective approach reduce assertive techniques in bullying victims.
