It is with great pleasure that we present this collection of articles published through the academic collaboration among Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), and AMCA Press. The articles in this volume were prepared in connection with The 12th International Conference on Community Development, held on 19 May 2026 at Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Uzbekistan.
Under the theme “Empowering Communities through Education, Innovation, and Policy Reform: Pathways toward a More Just and Sustainable Future,” the conference provided an international academic forum for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, present research findings, and discuss practical approaches to community development. This publication therefore serves not only as a record of the scholarly contributions presented at the conference, but also as a tangible outcome of the continuing institutional partnership among UzSWLU, UMM, and AMCA Press.
The conference theme reflects the growing importance of interdisciplinary and international collaboration in addressing complex challenges in education, society, culture, economics, law, technology, and public policy. The articles included in this publication examine these issues from diverse theoretical, methodological, and geographical perspectives, while sharing a common commitment to the development of more inclusive, resilient, equitable, and sustainable communities.
We are deeply honored to acknowledge the distinguished plenary speakers whose expertise and scholarly insights enriched the conference:
1. Prof. Dr. Rakhimov Ganisher Khudoykulovich, Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), Uzbekistan;
2. Assoc. Prof. Aristova Irina Leonidovna, PhD, Far Eastern Federal University, Russia;
3. Dr. Giuseppe Chiaramonte, U.S. State Department Representative and English Language Office Fellow in Tashkent;
4. Molnárné Prof. Dr. Judit Kovács, University of Debrecen, Hungary; and
5. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasmine Nasution, University of Indonesia, Indonesia.
Their participation contributed valuable perspectives on education, language, culture, international cooperation, innovation, and sustainable community development. Their presentations also emphasized the significance of cross-border academic engagement in producing evidence-based, context-sensitive, and socially responsive solutions.
The articles published in this volume cover a broad range of disciplines, including education, psychology, language, culture, economics, business, religion, philosophy, law, social sciences, and the humanities. Together, they demonstrate the richness of interdisciplinary inquiry and the importance of connecting academic research with the practical needs of communities.
